Marketing & Communications Expertise

Marketing & Communications (marcoms) is in our DNA, it’s baked into the way we approach everything. So, in the competitive field of marcoms consultancy, our point of difference is in how we combine over three decades of diverse experience to bring inspiration, solve problems and help organisations connect with their audiences.

We also love to collaborate and have built a network of highly-respected individuals from the worlds of media, marketing and design to enable us to provide additional expertise for clients.

The Ideas Generation provides a range of marcoms support, including:

  • Marketing & Communications plans and strategies
  • Written word – press releases, biogs, thought leadership, blogs, articles etc
  • Information design – identity, customer journey, infographics etc
  • Media training
  • Presentation skills training
  • Ideas workshops & brainstorms

Business Development Advice

TIG Founder Eileen Peters has a wealth of experience helping a variety of organisations grow including, crucially, her own businesses, one of which she successfully sold. Alongside her expertise in marcoms, project management and facilitation she has also learnt some extremely valuable lessons in how not to run a business – she calls this her uncertified MBA – all of which she uses to help SMEs build relationships and develop new services.

Perhaps Eileen’s greatest skill is in how she manages the challenges business development brings – to effectively navigate the confronting nature of this area with humour and grace makes her “a joy to work with”.

Project Management

Great project management requires excellence across a diverse range of skills – great communication and facilitation, stakeholder relationship management, planning, budgeting and contracting. We work in a lean and pragmatic way and like navigating complex environments to establish clear lines of communication. Key to all our successes is a generous helping of energy, tenacity and humour.

Of course, it helps to feel connected to the project itself and TIG Founder, Eileen Peters, has an infectious interest in social, healthcare and criminal justice issues which has very much dominated our professional direction to date. We have project managed two NHS England funded studies – a pilot exploring the use of a virtual reality (VR) software platform in a prison and a major research project using the same software in secondary schools. Plus, a range of pilots across multiple clinical and not-for-profit locations.

Our work in the private sector includes project managing a merger between two Danish trade organisations. We have managed projects ranging from £100k to £1million.

We couldn’t deliver our other services as well as we do without being great at facilitation. Eileen Peters is a trained facilitator whose practical skills in this area were born in the creative industries helping groups brainstorm ideas for campaigns. She has facilitated both in person and remotely throughout her career often using virtual-world and digital communications technologies.

I've participated in a couple of brainstorms facilitated by Eileen. She is brilliant. Creative. Clever. Energetic. Commercially-savvy. Well-connected. Focused. Motivational. Inspiring. Most of all, she is great company. If you hire her, you will laugh a lot and it won't feel like work at all – but you'll come out with some great ideas. Suzy Bashford, Journalist & Writer Eileen brings a huge wealth of experience and energy to everything she does. She's brilliant with teams and helping people to think strategically. She's full of ideas, great at building relationships and solving problems… She simply and efficiently gets the job done. Lee Lapthorne, Founder, On|Off Eileen identified opportunities for Sheppard Moscow that enabled us to be seen as thought leaders as well as relevant topical commentators. She brings a wealth of ideas, energy and connections to her work. We broke new ground in reaching our market place with her onboard. Vicki Bennett, Sheppard Moscow LLP Eileen was a great colleague to work with. As well as extremely efficient and well-organised; she was a cheerful, warm and supportive presence throughout the time we worked together. Great communicaton and person skills. I would not hesitate to work with Eileen again. Mick Cooper, Professor of Counselling Psychology at University of Roehampton
